TWO, he clearly violated theatre policy and should be ejected from the facility you're doing nothing about it. ONE, you allowed a backpack into the theatre without searching it. I then asked, "how did he walk into this theatre with a heavy back pack? Manager replied, "someone wasn't doing their job." I then asked what are you gonna do about it? The manager said, "I can't do anything about it it was food." I then asked, "Isn't it theatre policy that no outside food or beverages allowed?" He replied, "yes." That's when I told him, "as a manager you've failed in this situation. About this time the hourly employee reported the back pack was filled with food items. I then went to the manager and asked why wasn't he checking it out after all, he's the manager? The manager stated he must be at the front and cannot leave? (Really? There was no manager stationed in front when we purchased our tickets?)Are you kidding me? That qualified as a potential threat and he sends an hourly teenager with minimal experience to handle it? I then requested another manager he showed up and I asked why wasn't a manager checking this? He gave me the same answer as the previous manager. She returned saying, "he'll have someone go and check." Then a teenager came walking up to investigate. She then went to a manager stationed at the entrance and told him what I'd told her. When he left we also left and contacted an employee and expressed our concerns. Then without warning, he got up and left, walking behind our seats LEAVING the backpack. Although I was uneasy, we stayed and I periodically looked to see what he was doing. My wife and I noticed it immediately when he sat at the end of our row. A guy comes in carrying a large back pack very obvious it was filled with cargo. This theatre has ZERO accountability for security and we were all fortunate this was a false alarm. To be clear LOVE this theatre! However today I left before my film was half over. And finally, THREE, you should have investigated this because YOU ARE THE MANAGER instead both of you managers stayed a safe distance away and delegated a management decision to an hourly employee." This is without a doubt a case of the most chicken $#!t managers that are afraid to make a decision or to do the right thing.
